Catastrophic emissions of gaseous carbon dioxide (CO2) in Cameroon from the lake «Nyos» August 21, 1986, and from the lake «Monoun» August 15, 1984 caused massive death of people and animals.
Catastrophe in Cameroon at lake «Nyos» and at lake «Monoun» clearly showed mortal danger sudden emissions of large quantities of gaseous carbon dioxide from terrestrial depths on the earth's surface.
Study the causes of sudden release of carbon dioxide gas is especially importantly in connection with the effects of gaseous carbon dioxide at the rate of global warming, in connection with work on burial of large quantities of gaseous carbon dioxide in deep geological formations.
